VIVID Light Festival Timelapse 2015
Epic Photographs from VIVID Light, Music, Ideas Festival 2015
VIVID is one of my favourite festivals in Sydney, and it’s FREE. Every year in the miserable cold months, City of Sydney lights up with sound and movement. It brings everyone out of their houses, together in some of the most iconic landmarks of Sydney.
These were my favourite installations
Many of the installations are interactive meaning you can spend hours on a single piece of artwork. Just last year it expanded to light up the University of Sydney as well. Every year, new and exciting technology is used to impress and delight. The VIVID festival is a must-see for locals and visitors alike.

SYDNEY AT A GLANCE
What to do
There is so much to do in Sydney! There’s the harbour, beautiful beaches, cool bars and cafés, free festivals and parks galore!
Check out my Free Things to do in Sydney guide for more.
Where to stay
Cheap: Though there are lost of hostels in Sydney, Base Sydney is the one I’d recommend most as it’s central, clean and functional (check out the kitchen omg!)
Boutique: Ovolo 1888 is 2 minutes to Darling Harbour. Situated in a beautiful old brick building, the art-deco style rooms are very instagrammable. And just to top it off – there are loads of awesome freebies too!
Where to eat and drink
For cheap(ish) eats with harbour views head to Cargo Bar on Darling Harbour. For the best Italian in Sydney, try Jamie’s Italian (yep! Jamie Oliver started this place). And for a good night out, meeting people and drinking cheap booze, head to Side Bar near Central Station.
